Position Summary
We are hiring in our GASTRO Clinic for a part time nurse, working only 24 hours a week. This position is for our East Valley Clinic, and incumbent will support a team of providers specifically for the East Valley. Incumbent must have a minimum of 2 years s a clinical nurse, bedside or ambulatory experience in a hospital setting . Our ideal candidate will have outstanding multitasking skills, prioritization skills and teamwork! Primary responsibilities of this position will be triaging patients/families who are calling or emailing the provider. You will coordinate care of patient with other units within Phoenix Children’s, i.e., labs, tests, x-ray, therapy, etc. This is a benefitted position, M - F, NO holidays, NO weekends, and NO call!!! This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
- Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
