The Registered Nurse is responsible for supporting and promoting breast feeding for the mother and baby dyad and for facilitating lactation services support and education for breast feeding mothers and their infants as well as education and support for maternity staff working with the post-partum mother-baby dyad. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care of the mother and baby breastfeeding dyad. Provides breastfeeding education, support, and counseling to both inpatient and outpatient nursing mother-baby couplets requiring or seeking breastfeeding assistance. Provides daily bedside lactation round
