The Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team. The selected candidate will collaborate with an established team of Adult Heart Transplant, Advanced Heart Failure, and Mechanical Circulatory Support Procedure specialists for the medical management of transplant patients and ventricular assist device recipients in the outpatient clinic. Responsibilities will include coordination of care for immunosuppressed patients including performing cardiopulmonary stress tests and lab work triage. Schedule requirements have no weekend or call expectations. Advanced Practice Providers with adult heart transplant and mechanical circulatory support experience are preferred. Candidates must have a national Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Adult Cardiac Medicine Certification, or Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
