Acute/Specialty Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP)--Pediatric Surgery

To meet the needs of the region's children and provide seamless, high quality, comprehensive pediatric care close to home for the children & families of Northern Virginia, Inova Children's Hospital is seeking an advanced practice provider to join our Inova Children's Comprehensive General and Thoracic Surgery Division.

Responsibilities and Practice Details:

• Home to a busy, growing pediatric surgery division. Currently three surgeons and one APP, with the intention to grow within the next year by adding additional surgeons and APPs.
• The surgical group provides care for children with acute/emergent surgical needs, complex neonatal surgery, oncology surgery, thoracic surgery, gastrointestinal/colorectal surgery, and other complex surgery as appropriate.
• Patient population ranges from premature infants to adolescents
• After a period of orientation, this individual will provide both inpatient and outpatient care. This role will provide pre-operative and post-operative inpatient care for surgical patients, as well as support the clinic. This role is not an operative PA/First assist.
• This position is full-time, days with some weekend coverage.
• All inpatient care will be based at Inova LJ Murphy Children's Hospital with the outpatient practice setting located in close proximity at Inova Children's Comprehensive and Thoracic Surgery- Fairfax location.
