RN Emergency Department

Fairview Northland Medical Centers emergency Department has ED trained physicians, along with midlevel providers, RNs, EDTs, and NSAs. We care for a variety of illnesses and see pediatric to geriatric patients.

Emergency services:

• Level IV trauma center and is also Stroke ready Designated by the MN Department of Health.
• The departments bed capacity is 17 which includes 2 trauma/critical care rooms, 2 behavioral health rooms.
• We also treat our infusion patients after hours and weekends, when our infusion department is closed.
• We consult with DEC for our behavioral patients and SANE for our forensic examinations.

Position details:

• .6 FTE or 48 hours per pay period,working night shift
• 12 hour shifts
• Every third weekend (F, S, S)
• Location: Princeton, MN

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure and professional practice guidelines. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Required

• Current MN RN license in good standing
• One-year acute care experience
• ACLS and TNCC required upon hire or obtained within 1 year
• PALS or ENPC current or obtained within 1 year of hire
• Current BLS certification

Preferred

• Prefer experience in critical care, telemetry or emergency nursing
• Current ICU and Charge Nurse experience
• BSN or BAN
